FEATURED OPPORTUNITY:
The 2007 SPIN Academy will be held August 15-19, in Petaluma, CA. This annual event brings together more than sixty activists from across the country for five days of intensive communications training. Lead by the entire SPIN Project staff, SPIN Academy participants study key concepts and practice core skills in strategic communications:
- communications planning
- framing and messaging
- audience targeting
- online communications
- writing for PR
- maximizing media coverage
Application Process: Participation in the SPIN Academy is based on a competitive application process. For more information on how the SPIN Project selects Academy participants, please see our Application Guidelines. Applications are now open. Apply Today! Applications for the 2007 SPIN Academy are due by July 11, 2007.
Cost: Registration fees for the SPIN Academy are set on a sliding scale based on organizational budget. If your organization’s budget is:

Less than $350,000,the registration cost is $200
-
Between $350,000 and $1.5 million, the registration cost is $250
-
More than $1.5 million, the registration cost is $300
Please note: The actual cost of hosting a single participant at the event is more than $2,000. It is only through the generous support of our funders that we are able to offer these greatly subsidized registration fees. Registration fees for the event cover the cost of all training and materials, as well as room and board during the Academy.
